The overall writing in this book was satisfactory. There were times when I felt that the description could be better in order to bring the deep sadness of the residents of Oz. I loved how there was a contrast in the happy look of the place compared to what the residents were feeling. This contrast was able to create a bigger rift in the image of the wonderful Oz and Dorothy's Oz.

Wow, this book really had me on the edge of my seat! It was so fast paced and I loved Amy! She was so delightful to read and I can really relate to her. Like her, I am also a bit of an outcast and I also love pink! I appreciate that instead of doing a retelling of the Wizard of Oz, the author made a story of what would happen if Dorothy became evil as well as her friends.
The book also had it's moments of darkness. It was so horrible what happened to Jellia, she was one of my favorite characters ...more

Interesting twist on our famous tale. Dorothy isnt so good after all! Yeah thats what the story says anyways that after Wizard of Oz story well Dorothy turned crazy/evil and then this girl (also from a tornado) comes and is told she must swear to kill Dorothy. Its a series so we all know it ends with Dorothy still alive and well... will keep reading to see where this goes. But till I read it I had no idea what it was really about (the title didnt help at all LOL). If you like twisted tales go ah

This book was a nice ride to go along with, although I found it a bit predictable at times, even though I'm not that familiar with the tale of the Wizard of Oz.
