Just putting this here to say that this was the first sweet valley book I EVER read. I was hooked from the beginning! I'm going to paint a picture for you- it was the summer before 2nd grade. One of my firsts once more: this time around, my first book about kids having to go to the hospital. Back then, I didn't even know why children should even have their tonsils taken out! Can you believe that I thought one was born without tonsils? Shows you what a child knows.
Again, a great introduction for children to the concept of hospitals and of not being afraid of minor operations.

Once again the title gives it away 😂 Liz and Jess have to get their tonsils out and they are nervous. Interesting that both of them have to at the same time 🤔 Anyway, the arrive the night before and meet some other kids who keep talking about Moe and Joe.
