The story stays with you. Not entirely sure how to feel about all of it. I will say it’s a surprisingly quick read considering how much of a giant it is. Maybe the best thing about it are the depictions of love in friendship. A picture of a life centered around maintaining those relationships and loving each other through different stages of life, instead of just having kids and getting married.

This book was one of the most "real" books I've ever read in my life...I really feel like I know and have loved all of these characters. The prose was simple, but draws you in immediately. I would only have to read several sentences each time I picked this up in order to feel like I was no longer reading, but sitting in the room watching what was happening.
