This book does a better job of encapsulating the human experience than any another form of art I have come across. It is a work you can reread at different stages of life and get something new and unique out of it every time. It is a simple story of a young men trying to find his purpose (and routinely failing) through art, careers, friendships, and love. No matter who you are or where you come from, there will be something relatable and important in this novel for you.
