'Throttled' alright. What's with this brat kid?? Not very far along, but don't find it funny. The very beginning of the book -fantastic, but it's wearing on me right now -- having a bad feeling about these characters. . . . . . . [Three days later] . . . . . After numerous tries, reading fast, reading slow, sifting/sorting, reviewing and trying to get in gear, uh, gave in. This book is apparently too disjointed for me. Its characters jumpy -- too jumpy. This book is brilliantly written and I found it a real page turner for most of the 800 or so pages. But the story was so complicated I got lost in many of the details - and then the end was a total disappointment.
