While a lot of the plot is messy and sloppily-written, I actually found myself quite invested in this novel. It is super enjoyable and fascinating. I just don’t love how it ties together at the end. It almost feels like new characters are throw in and taken out whenever Murakami runs out of things to do with them. Everything happens in a Perpetual state of movement. Everything timed through singular moments leading into other singular moments. Mundanity of day to day life, the small things which connect through lifetimes. It all comes to a moment, a moment which comes to define many lifetimes
