This supplementary take on the developing relationship between vampire and human, is narrated entirely from Edward Cullen's point of view. It gives a remarkably detailed analysis of his emotions and reactions to Bella, the human object of his vampiric desire. I was greatly impressed by the author's ability to describe the feelings of such an alien creature.

I always wanted to read Twilight from Edward's pov and Stephanie has given exactly what I wanted. I just hope that she could have continued with the chapters without stopping them in the midway. ...more

Loved the unauthorized Midnight Sun version. After reading this, I wanted to read everything from Edward’s POV. When the actual book came out, many years later, I could not have been more excited! Since there was such a gap between the unauthorized draft and the actual book, I think I suffered Twilight exhaustion and just wanted to get through the book as fast as I could. In the series, I would say Midnight Sun DRAFT, Twilight, and New Moon were my favorites (in that order).
