What can I say about Shiver that hasn't already been said by oodles of reviewers? Well, I can tell you about my own experience. When I was reading Shiver, I was so engrossed in the story that I actually went over my lunch hour because quite simply, I refused to put the book down. And as for the remainder of the afternoon, I mostly spent it trying to figure out if the coast was safe enough for me to peek inside the book and gobble up a few snippets here and there without being detected by my cowo ...more

Maggie Stiefvater is truly an amazing author in every sense of the word. Shiver made me feel so many different emotions and I could not put it down, I even sat reading it until 2am. I love the detailed descriptions of everything, the characters, the scenery and their emotions. Sam and Grace's chemistry is so strong and bonding that I am envious of it and yet still loved reading it. This book really brought back my already strong love of reading and turned me into an absolute book maniac. If this ...more

I really enjoyed this book,it wasn't mind blowing or a super-important read, but it was good.
Grace and Sams story starts off slowly, but once it materializes it is instantly intense. It would suck so bad to find your true love only to know that you could only be with them for a season before they would be gone forever.
I've read/heard a lot of people compare this to twilight (from Jacob's view), which I get to a point, but to me it's a completely different story. I love twilight, but I would def
