*audio* I usually don't like epistolary books. Took me a while to get over the format. But once the story moved from London to Guernsey and the actual people from the area began to write their recollections of the German occupation, the book really picked up. It was a tear jerker. Perhaps a bit mawkish at times, but I did like the more nuanced portrayal of both the occupies and the occupied. Kinda sweet little love story w/ Juliette, too. Found the use of kids as truth evokers a little annoying,
