Oh My God! Oh My God! Oh.My.God! That is all I can say right now and that is a good "Oh My God'! I devoured this book in one sitting and I'm so glad that I did cause I'm not sure I would have lasted. Loved it!!! Even though I am on team Adam I wasn't all that mad that she and Chris "crossed paths." I still hope she choses Adam and can't wait for the next book. I'm pretty sure I won't get what I want but I know this series will end on a good note. I have a feeling they were meant to meet for a reason. Possibly to heal each other's hearts. Pieces of You is the second book in the Shattered Hearts series. If you haven't already read Relentless, I highly recommend that you read that first.

Pieces of You picks up right where Relentless ends. We're still following the lives of Claire, her new boyfriend Adam, and her rocker ex-boyfriend Chris. Claire is attending college again to become a social worker while Adam is still working for his father and resuming surfing competitions. Pieces of You picks up right where Relentless ends. We're still following the lives of Claire, her new boyfriend Adam, and her rocker ex-boyfriend Chris. Claire is attending college again to become a social worker while Adam is still working for his father and resuming surfing competitions. Adam and Claire have been dating a short time and being located in different cities and only seeing each other on some weekends is taking its toll on the relationship. It doesn't help that Chris is back in the picture and can see Claire when he wants.

Adam and Claire's relationship is further tested when he is sent to Hawaii on business for 2 months. Can their relationship survive this test? Or will Chris will be able to win Claire back? This business trip comes at the worst possible time in their relationship. Adam's ex-girlfriend cheated on him, which makes the situation with Chris all that much more difficult to handle. And Chris is back for two reasons: (1) get Claire back and (2) obtain an open adoption for their daughter, Abigail.

I absolutely loved this book!! It's really well written and plays on your emotions. After reading Relentless, I was definitely Team Adam. We really get to know each of the main characters since the chapters rotate perspectives. Claire, Adam, and Chris all have their own voice.

I won't give away exactly what happens, but all of the main characters make mistakes and hurt each other. I had to remind myself of their ages. I could understand their motivations or reasons, even if I didn't agree with their actions. There were times I wanted to pull them aside and ask if they had really thought this through.

Adam can be so sweet and thoughtful. I love how he only wants the best for Claire, but his temper and jealousy get the best of him at times. Adam has to deal with some unforeseen complications in Hawaii and I think it allows Adam to better understand Claire and how she feels.

On the other hand, Chris does truly love Claire. I respect how he originally got Claire to open up and their history. They were really good together...then. To me, Chris does come across as manipulative. Now, he plays on Claire's feelings of guilt, specifically about Jackie, and her need for a home with Chris and Jackie. When Claire is at her most vulnerable, he maneuvers and takes advantage of her. A more generous interpretation might be that Chris had an opening and took it.

There are some intriguing secondary characters. Adam's friend and fellow surfer, Yuri, is hilarious. I do wonder if Tristan, friend and former band mate of Chris, is also nurturing romantic feelings for Claire.

There are twists and turns throughout the book, and the last few chapters are difficult to read. I love Jackie's advice to Claire at the end. In Pieces of You, Claire is still reeling and trying to deal with the consequences of everything that has happened over the past year or so. Claire has already had to deal with so much and then she's thrown yet another curveball at the very end.

A piece of Claire's heart with always be reserved for Abby, for Adam, and for Chris. Claire is left with a choice. But which guy is right for who Claire is now and who she wants to be? She needs to pick Adam or Chris. She loves both of them, but who is she in love with?

I can't wait to see how this story line between Claire, Adam, and Chris develops in the next book. I'm leaning more towards a HEA for Claire and Adam, with Chris finding love and happiness with someone else. But more than that, I'm firmly Team Claire. She deserves happiness. ...more

OMG OMG OMG!! What have you done to me Ms Leo! What a story! I thought I was anxious after reading Relentless but now I am shaking after Pieces of You. What oh what will you do to us on the 3rd book! I really am speechless.

This review may make some people mad and for that I apologize ahead of time :).
Okay I have read most of the reviews on this book, and there were some that down right made me angry reading them...which made my reading the book even more emotional at time LOL. I know there are Team Adam's and Team Chris' but in all honesty even though I am pulling for Chris myself I have to admit that either guy would be a good choice.
My only issues with Adam is the fact that he doesn't want kids right now and it This review may make some people mad and for that I apologize ahead of time :).

My only issues with Adam is the fact that he doesn't want kids right now and it CRYSTAL clear the ONLY thing that is going to mend Claire's broken heart is to get Abby back. Then there are his anger issues, (know he has undergone treatment for it but it only takes one thing to make him snap in two, and Claire seems to bring out his anger more than she helps it. That puts a halt for me on Adam....

Chris...he has her heart, he always has and no amount other guys will change that. Also there are talks in reviews about "what Chris did":
1. Chris had no commitment to Claire when what happened did happen...
2. He was in a bad place at the time...
3. Claire could be looked at in the same light with what SHE did while Adam was in Hawaii (which was more than what happened the night question about Chris)...

Don't get me started on Senia....if anyone was scheming to ruin a relationship in this book it was her. She pissed me off at the end, she should not be trying to sway Claire's decision just because she is pissed at one of the guys...no matter which guy it is! She was in the wrong there especially knowing everything Claire is going through with Abby at the moment, and do not get me started on Senia bringing up the "groupies" Chris "probably" slept with...what does that have to do with anything? Claire BROKE UP WITH CHRIS...she basically to him to go live that lifestyle and get it out of his system. Again THEY WERE BROKEN UP!!! (That just makes me angry blaming him for something Claire told him was okay)

Jackie, Chris' mom...I love her character when Claire called to talk to her about both guys, she never once tried to sway Claire's decision to Chris. She told her to follow her heart, and that is the most unselfish thing I think she could have done. Even if it cost her son heartache she still did what was right for Claire and no one else.

The letter at the end of the book was a WTF moment, I didn't see it coming at all. I never thought he would contact her, but I'm glad he did. Claire needs to face him to put that part of her past to rest.

I am excited to start the last book, this series has been wonderfully written so far and I have loved almost every second of it...LOL. There were times I wanted to throw something, but I absolutely loved this book overall.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO ANYONE WHO LOVES A GOOD LOVE TRIANGLE!!!! ...more
