Kit Tyler makes the journey from her former home in Barbados to her aunt and uncle in the Puritan colony of Connecticut, where she rocks the boat with her decidedly un-Puritan ways.
There's not a lot of action, but this book kept me enthralled to the last page. Speare peppered her narrative with bits of history, so real people walked among the fictional characters.
