I over-all really enjoyed this one. I like how dark this book was- it put the spooky back in werewolves in a traditional sense, which goes against the current trend in paranormal/horror fiction. At first, I was skeptical about this one because of the brewing teenage romance. I worried it was the introduction of sparkly werewolves and another messed up pregnancy. But thankfully, Pearce escaped the sparkly teenage angst dysfunction and delivered a killer retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. I would like to express my annoyance that goodreads doesn't let us us half stars once more. This book wasn't quite a 4 star for me, but it comes very, very close, 3.6ish.

I love fairy tales, and I adore retellings, however, often, they never quite capture enough emotion in me as I would like. I've heard about this book for years, it's been on my to-read list, but I never got around to it despite all the good things I had heard. I'm definitely glad I read it. The reason it isn't quite a 4 star fo

I liked Sisters Red for the way it portrayed a fierce loyalty between the March sisters. No matter their differences, they were always sisters. And I absolutely loved the ending.

I also enjoyed this retelling's version of the Wolf as werewolves. It's not a new concept by any means but it gave the story a layer of darkness it needed. There was way too many fight scenes, though. I think a few of those scenes could've been replaced with scenes of the March sisters growing up without their Oma, being
