Pure genius!
Has a more amazing story ever been written? I don't think so.
I grew up loving the movie as a child.
When I was older, I tracked down the book and bought a copy.
From page one I was completely drawn in. I did not put it down.
I read the book straight through within 2 days, only putting it down because I was forced to eat dinner and go to sleep. I have never had such an intensely immersive experience reading since then. It is magical. ...more

I think this is just one book I read too late in life to fully appreciate it. While I might have enjoyed it around age 10 or so, it's just not polished enough for my current tastes.
Though, after reading it, Bastion's sudden insertion into the movie action makes a LOT more sense. ...more
