I am a fan of Lackey's Valdemar books, but this was the first I'd read of her other fantasy novels. If you enjoy fairy tale retellings, this is an entertaining read as Lackey really makes this version of Snow White very much her own, and it is easy to forget that you are reading revisionist lit here. I am looking forward to reading her take on other fairy tales in the rest of the Elemental Masters series. ...more
