This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. As you can probably tell from my score, I have rather mixed thoughts about this book. Tepper's 'Beauty' creatively retells the tales of a number of recognisable fairytale characters. However these are often very bleak and gritty.
Interestingly she employs the premises of time travelling and parallel worlds to weave strong messages of environmentalism and religion.

I've read enough Sheri S Tepper to know what to expect, each of her books always leaves me satisfied, in awe of her narrative power, and wincing at one characterization or another.

Beauty, like most of Sheri S Tepper, is hard to summarize. The Beauty, of Sleeping Beauty Fame, instead of sleeping in a tower, embarks on adventure through time and across multiple worlds.
