My goodness, that was a lot longer than I thought. I remember reading portions in Mythology class, and somehow I had the idea that I'd read most of it, but I was really wrong. Not in a bad way--I love several of the stories, and the way Ovid intertwines storytelling. I have a writing idea lurking in my brain now. But it is exhausting. I read the Charles Martin translation, and without comparing with other translations, I thought it quite readable, and poetic.
