What Members Thought

When Joseph Delaney began branching off, and writing some books in the Last Apprentice series focusing of characters other than Tom, I was a bit skeptical. As it happens though, I might like them best. 'Alice' is told, obviously, by Alice, Tom's best friend. The story jumps back and forth in time. We learn about her past and how she grew up with Bony Lizzie and then, in the present, how she is trying to complete the task she was given and retrieve the last dagger Tom needs for the ritual to bani

Delaney does it again! He has produced another brilliant book.
I did take off a star because it did take me a little while to get into it, but after a few chapters, I was addicted, just like all of the previous books in the series.
I admit that at first I was worried about the book being about Alice since I love reading the series through Tom's perspective, but I need not have worried, since I ended up loving Alice's voice.

Spook's Alice is the 12th book in Joseph Delaney's Wardstone Chronicles. This time we see things in Alice's perspective as she travels into the dark to take a dagger called The Doloures. On the way she encounters a mixture of new and familiar faces.

The beginning was a little slow, but then it got amazing! I loved the stories with Bony Lizzie.
This book was action packed, and I learned a lot more about Alice. I was never really sure if I liked her, but this book totally helped make my descion that I like Alice. She may be an extremly powerful witch but I think that Alice can use her powers for good, and not have to be like witchs like Bony Lizzie. I can't wait to read the next book! I wish this series would go on forever!! ...more
