I don't generally mind fluffy bunny-style vampire stories, after all I like Twilight, but this book was a bit too fluffy for my taste. As with other young adult vampire stories, the two books were filled more with purple prose than anything that might be even slightly meaningful to anyone over the age of 10 or 11. I probably shouldn't have said that, since that might be an insult to ten or eleven year olds out there.

I like this series but it is slow moving but it is about a love between a girl and a vampire. This vampire is drawn back to a town where he lost his first love and he thinks this girl is her (apparently looks alot like her). Any September 10th, 2009 this will be a TV show on the CW. The guys who play the vamps, are very fitting.

I thought it was ok. Very slow in getting into it at first. Parts of the book was very good, had some great action and terror, some of the characters finally started something but then nothing more happened further which was frustrating during the read. I found myself skipping ahead when it stuck in parts that were going nowhere. I'll continue to read the next books in the series to see what happens and hopefully they'll be better than the first two.
