I´ve been on the fence about reading erotica/romantica for a long time, because I always need more than a bunch of sex scenes thrown together in a book. I finally made the jump into reading 'Midnight Man' after seeing several recommendations on the Romance Forum at Amazon and, boy, let me tell you... I loved it! Great book, just how I like my steamy erotica reads. Non-cheesy sex scenes with great characters and a good plot to tie it all together. I now get why so many people consider this a favorite read!
The first book in the Midnight series by Lisa Marie Rice. John Huntington is looking for a new space for his business and decides that Suzanne Barron's renovated factory will work just fine. A former military man, John aka Midnight Man, is now the owner of Alpha Security International. Suzanne is an interior designer.

The first one in the series, better than the second with Claire, worse than the third with Allegra. Suzanne is an interior designer. She also owns a building which she lives in, renting out the excess space. John is her new tenant. He's a former SEAL and now owns a security company. They're attracted to one another from the start, then people start trying to kill Suzanne so he takes her to his cabin to hide out while they sort things out.

Not a bad story and the writing was decent. I think I would have enjoyed it more if was longer. I'll probably continue with the series.
