Wow, how this went down hill. At first it had some humor and was a bit interesting. Then it seemed to be dragging. I thought that maybe it would pick up and seemed to do that but then just totally started being totally idiotic.

All the people are besotted with Brenna and state how clever she is. But she is TSTL as she doesn't talk to her husband immediately on the problems. I don't care how much you feel bad about coming between the family, he needs to know the whole and she needs to know her pos Wow, how this went down hill. Wow, how aggravating it is when Brenna doesn't get how manipulative and wrong her step-mother-in-law is (view spoiler)She isn't "clever" she's an idiot. She should have figured it out.

So on top of that, Connor rubs the wrong way. Especially when he leaves without talking to her. The lies between these two and the lies she tells the others just is frustrating. Their relationship is horrid and saying it is based on anything but lust bringing false feelings... they have what a week altogether maybe because he keeps leaving her. She's valued as much as a possession. Doesn't een make sure she is OK.

After having really enjoyed The Bride, I was very disappointed with the second half of this book. Glad to see Alec and Jamie and like the beginning and the humor, really hated all the "intrigue" as it made Brenna's behavior moronic and not humorous. (view spoiler) ...more
