A new Kelly Link book is always a cause for celebration. Pitched as YA, the book collects stories published in various anthologies; not all of them succeed, but the best ones twist the here-and-now into new and unrecognizable shapes, with the title story and "Magic for Beginners" as the standouts of the book. Link is in top form here, and this book is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys their fiction strange and full of wonder.
