This book is part of the Legends expanded universe. This tells the story of Obi-Wan as he makes Tatooine is home now after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Obi-Wan just wants to be left alone and watch over Luke as he grows up. Life is not that easy as Obi-Wan is thrust into a conflict between the moisture farmers and the Tusken Raiders.

Moments before I started to read this I worried that it could not possibly live up to my expectations. It was everything I wanted, and needed, it to be.

It also dives into the story of the tusken raiders and the farmers that live on the planet. It's a worthy read for sure. I am impressed with Miller's dive into a time period closer to the films. His others were mo ...more

Great exploration of the transition from Obi-Wan to Ben Kenobi. Draws on a lot of the traditions of Westerns to tell a unique story of life on the Star Wars frontier, where average, ordinary people oblivious to the "big picture" events in the Star Wars galaxy deal with their own problems. A very enjoyable read. ...more
