One of the pleasing things about this book is that it's in the Star Wars universe, but contains almost ZERO mention of the Force. In fact, the only use of a lightsaber is used as a tool and not in the traditional sense. This of course makes complete sense because it takes place just after the Battle of Yavin IV after the destruction of the first Death Star.

Timothy Zahn proves again why he is the master of Star Wars storytelling. The locations may be unfamiliar, but you get a true understanding o

I really enjoyed this book. This book was placed shortly after the original Star Wars film (Episode 4: A New Hope). It has Han Solo and Chewbacca running a Ocean's 11 style heist which includes Lando Calrissian as part of the team. It was a fun, quick paced story. The story is very "Snatch" like in that you have several different plotlines going on at once all intersecting at some point. I really like this book. I miss reading about adventures with Han & Chewie (damn you R.A. Salvatore). For me it started a little slow, but as the suspense built up to the day of the heist I couldn't read fast enough to find out if they would pull it off. I hope we see more of these characters in the future especially Bink & Tavia. I could also see Han having a run in with Dozer again and Dozer ...more

Good Heist Novel. Loved the ending twist. I think Tim Zahn always delivers with his novels. Only complaint would be some pacing issues but that may have just been related to my availability to actually read the novel vs. any actual problem in the book.

This book didn't have as much action as some Star Wars novels, but the Oceans 11 style intrigue and planning was highly entertaining. ...more

it didnt really feel like a Star Wars book, possibly due to the plot.
