A Zombie-Horror Star Wars book? Now i have read everything!

Red Harvest is set in 3645BBY (before the destruction of the First Death Star). Red Harvest is meant to explain how to virus in Death Troopers came to be. Personally i found it a tad weird the premises of it, but at the same time it made complete sense. By having Darth Scabrous wanting to become immortal, much like Emperor Palpatine, i found it extremely easy to understand the Sith thinking.

A book set in the Star Wars expanded universe. When I first read that this book was about zombies, I was skeptical. I believed that zombies had no place in the Star Wars universe. That being said, it was a decent book. What I liked about this book is that most of the characters are Sith masters and apprentices. This book shows the depravity of the dark side of the force and what its users will do to achieve their ultimate goals. It is a quick read being only 250 pages and if you like zombies, I ...more

2.5 stars, really, but I'll be nice.

Set during the time of the Old Republic, Red Harvest tells the tale of a breakout of the living dead at the Sith training academy of Odacer-Faustin as Sith Master Darth Scabrous quests for immortality. A young Jedi named Hestizo Trace, who has a special Force talent that makes her especially gifted with plants, is captured by the bounty hunter Tulkh and taken to the icy and unforgiving Sith academy where all hell breaks loose. Red Harvest is a prequel to Deat

I almost get the feeling like this book was written with the female Star Wars fans in mind. A female Jedi, who's strongest power with the force is the ability to communicate with plant life, particularly an orchid who she is best friends with, is rescued by a tough bounty hunter who has a change of heart with no explanation as to why, and her stronger Jedi brother, who also rushes to her rescue. There are many other Star Wars books worth reading before this.

It was a good book, a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Nothing to in depth, but you do get to read about another type of Jedi specialty and for me, it was interesting.

Death Troopers was much, much better than this, it is sweet to blend zombies and star wars and this book has a great setting but there is too many characters in it
