What Members Thought

Like James Cameron's movie "Titanic", you know how this book is going to end even before you begin reading, but that doesn't completely ruin the story as it moves towards that inevitable climax.
In fact, I liked learning what the triggerman on Alderaan's death thought as he edged closer to the secret Rebel base and another million deaths on top of his conscience. Then there is the stormtrooper who chases Solo and Chewbacca through the bowels of the Death Star and his "error" in letting them escap ...more

Reread? Yes
Recommend to: Above average Star Wars fans. I think it'd be very boring to a casual fan.
It takes quite a while to get going and I didn't feel anything for the characters until the last 1/3 or so. The end picks up the pace a lot and then the book suddenly seems more or less worth it. 1/5
unable to finish.
I dont expect a high level of writing with Star Wars but this really takes the biscuit. I made it to chapter 35 and i was still only half way through on page 180!
Each chapter was tiny but an absolute slog to read.
If this book is aimed at 10 year olds them this might explain the small chapters but i never once felt like i was reading a story, just a collection of individual stories.
