To be honest I thought the storyline was well done. It took me awhile to finally understand how I saw Eelena and Malgus as Anakin and Padme'. I did not expect Malgus to have a lover of any kind as most Sith lords didn't have them. But, overall I liked the book as a whole. :)

As the Sith and the Gallactic Republic convene on Alderaan, Coruscant is attacked. Darth Malgus destroys the Jedi Temple and kills Jedi Master Ven Zallow. This puts his former padawan to bring his killer to justice. But there is more going on here than anyone can see! A good storyline and a surprise ending!
Really enjoyed it. Darth Malgus is a very well-rounded character that I couldn't help but like and want to read more!

Very good start and middle book - ending somehow meh...
Great book, what I believe is 1st or 2nd in the series along with Revan
Star Wars: Deceived was a good book, it was not great or did it have deep plot, but it was a fun read full of action with a happy ending.
