I enjoyed the concept of Outbound Flight. To be honest, the build up felt quite a lot like Noah's Ark and the main Jedi like Noah himself.
Loose analogies aside Zahn's pacing and multiple plots threads are the strong points of this book. After reading it after Allegiance, I enjoyed Outbound Flight. (more than Scoundrels). There are some good backstories developed which lead into the Heir to the Empire/Thrawn trilogy - which I am looking forward to diving into. Most important character introduced ...more

Good read for those of you geeks like me who read Star Wars Novels.
I really loved it! It made me want to know more about Thrawn, the Chiss, and what ended up happening to the remaining inhabitants of Outbound Flight after the end of the novel! ^_^
