Star Wars Darksaber by Kevin J.Anderson
This book is fantastic! It is considered as the second book in the controversial Callista trilogy, however I couldn’t get into the first book Children of the Jedi, so I just read this. And I must say it’s great as a standalone novel! It is a novel that is more of a sequel to Kevin J. Anderson’s Jedi Academy Trilogy than anything else. Not bad, but not good, either.
I feel like this book had so much narrative and plots to cover, and it felt constricted by the Callista book and as a Jedi Academy follow-up that KJA intended for this book.
It felt like a sequel and original novel that tried hard to balance out everything, leaving me with confusion to how some events got panned out. The Hutt superweapon felt super filler, and as per fillers, unwanted death ensues. Callista and Luke’s “honeymoon-like” journey was also as forced (it f ...more
