I’m an avid Star Wars reader, but when I first heard of the Jedi Academy trilogy being essential to the Legends timeline of the novels, I had to make sure to take a shortcut to reading this if it’s any good.

Honestly, it is. It’s not good and it’s not bad either. It’s just...bland. Mr. Kevin Anderson makes good, interesting plots every now and then, but it all falls flat. Príjemné oddychové čítanie. Andersonova vízia Star Wars sveta je inšia ako Zahnova, viac sa nesie v rozprávkovom duchu Novej Nádeje. Za najlepšiu časť knihy považujem jednoznačne Hanove dobrodružstvá na Kesseli a mojou najobľúbenejšiou postavou sa stal Kyp Duron - mladý budúci Jedi. Lukove hľadanie Jediov neurazí a niekedy je plné priam bizarne magického využívania Sily. To ale holt patrí do sveta Hviezdnych vojen. Leia politicko-materská linka sa mi páčila asi najmenej.
