This book reads as though Mr. Glut was asked to attend the premier, and then told to write the book.
'A New Hope' had a few interesting things happen in the book that differed from the movie.
This did not.
In the movie, the story shifts back and forth from Luke to Han and Leia because passage of time is meaningless in a movie.
But... a book doesn't need to bother. So why does he go back and forth in the book when clearly the Millenium Falcon has to make it to Bespin well before Luke's training has ...more

Was Randal right for saying this was the better Star Wars film due to it ending on a down-note just like life? Quite possibly. It's a good book and a good story.

Very good read. The story moves along quickly and yet the characters experience significant growth along the way.
