A great read, one of the best Star Wars books ever written. Some discrepancy concerning modern canon concerning the Clone Wars, but overall a fantastic book. Mitt'raw'nuruodo's strategizing provides great intellectual stimulation.

Finally getting around to reading this since finding out that Thrawn is in Rebels next season. It was good, but I think I am missing the nostalgia piece that makes this book so beloved in the Star Wars community. It's interesting to read as an artifact of Star Wars history but the inconsistencies with the films that have happened since are too much to get over for me to really love this book.

Second reading.
As a film this would be as good as Rogue One and right there with the original trilogy. This absolutely must be made, or animated, someday. It is without a doubt what fans who saw the Original Trilogy in the movies are craving- and deserve.
It does not matter what Disney calls it. If you are a SW fan this is a MUST READ.

It is a really good book that keep the atmosphere of the movies. The author dont try to do something fancy with the characters. He just follow what they are ( their personality) and what they did in the movies. Even though disney not going to take this in consideration. It is a good book to read and enjoy.
