Hands down one of the best in the series. Declan and Regin are one awesome couple. My heart ached for Declan and the suffering he endured as a young man and then to be brainwashed by that asshole Webb. I sure has hell hope Webb meets his end and soon. He is pure evil. Regin was the same wise cracking, smart ass we've come to love and my heart broke for her, I wanted her to have the love of her life in her life. Finally got around to reading this after reading Lothaire. I wasn't sure if I were going to like this book because of the darker theme but I did. As always, Kresley Cole is funnier than the best standup on Def Comedy Jam.

Lothaire had so many funny lines in this book:

"I am a king. I don't negotiate with mortals at your pay grade." page 134

" I've been unmaned with a whip made of razor wire. Naturally, that took many lashes." page 136

I wish they had more stars to give. Kresley Cole just keeps getting better and better. This story is about Regin the Radiant (a Valkyrie) and Declan Chase. It picks up from a previous book. There is enough back story to help remember what was going on before. He's a hunter of sorts, hunting down immortals and locking them up. He gets Regin and finds he's Very attracted to her. It bothers him because he hates immortals and has since he and his family were attacked when he was young.

I didn’t have high expectations for Dreams of a Dark Warrior, not because I thought the storyline wouldn’t be good enough but because I haven’t been a big fan of Regin throughout the series. I really enjoyed the ups and downs of the storyline and seeing how Declan suffered and how he was willing to do anything for Regin to prove his worth and try and redeem himself but what really made me enjoy Dreams of a Dark Warrior was Lothaire! This series just keeps getting better and better! I really enjoyed this latest installment by Kresley Cole. Quite a few laugh out loud moments and the scenes between Declan (aka Aidan) and Regin were H-O-T!!! I have to admit that my new favorite bad-boy in this series is Lothaire - he just exudes sexiness! I can't wait for his story!

The only thing that kept this from being a five-star for me is that although I loved the story between Regin and Declan from beginning to end...Declan was not my ide ...more
