Anyway, 4.5 stars for this one. This is the first "off-shoot" book of Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series and it features Spade and Denise, two characters introduced in earlier books of the series.

With that being said, while this was a pleasant read, it was not my favorite Frost book. This is a spin off of the Night Huntress series which up until now has been centered around two dynamic characters, Cat and Bones. I enjoyed this book. I think that it would have been better had I read the first two books with Bones and Cat. They are interwoven in this story and there are bits and pieces that you just don't understand. However, with that aside, I think that this story is a good read alone. ...more

I really enjoyed this book. It was the same style as Cat/Bones book but with new characters.

Good Parts: Had a lot of funny moments and one liners that had me laughing out loud (and people staring at me w/ that "whats wrong w/ you" look). It was nice to see appearances by Cat, Bones, Ian (soooo funny!), and Mencheres. The book was a quick, satisfying read. The other good parts to it were the Spade/Denise love scenes. HOT!

I really enjoy JF's characters and I enjoyed this book very much. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I am glad I went a head with reading it anyway. I am not saying I liked it as much as the Night Huntress series but still it was very entertaining.
