Had to give "First Drop of Crimson" by Jeaniene Frost the full five-star rating! The book was just fantastic, filled with suspense, action, great humor, sexy and erotic moments, and just overall adventure from cover-to-cover!

First Drop of Crimson is the first book in Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress spin-off series, creatively but aptly titled Night Huntress World. I have always liked Spade when I read the Cat and Bones books, so I was excited to read this one. I loved to learn more about Spade and his background. Denise has always been fun too, and the ending to the last book was just heartbreaking for her.

I enjoyed this book. I think that it would have been better had I read the first two books with Bones and Cat. They are interwoven in this story and there are bits and pieces that you just don't understand. However, with that aside, I think that this story is a good read alone.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the same style as Cat/Bones book but with new characters.
Good Parts: Had a lot of funny moments and one liners that had me laughing out loud (and people staring at me w/ that "whats wrong w/ you" look). It was nice to see appearances by Cat, Bones, Ian (soooo funny!), and Mencheres. The book was a quick, satisfying read. The other good parts to it were the Spade/Denise love scenes. HOT!

I really enjoy JF's characters and I enjoyed this book very much. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I am glad I went a head with reading it anyway. I am not saying I liked it as much as the Night Huntress series but still it was very entertaining. The actual love story could have had more substance but then again it had fun twists and it was a fun read.

This was a good book. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it wasn't action packed like Cat and Bones' books but it was enjoyable all on its own.
