This was a strange story. The author was trying to create a Cruel Intentions type high school story and it was interesting but the execution and story needed to be better. The characters were caricatures of the stereotypical high school personalities, everything was so over the top but the characters had no depth and so much was unrealistic. My absolute favourite way to discover new books now days is to see what everyone else is reading. I particularly like cruising through the romance "most read" books on GoodReads, which is how I found this book. Tijan just released a new novel, and I've never read any work by the author before, and this is her most popular novel so I'll give it a go!
