This book had way too much going on and not enough romance. Too much secondary characters, too much bad guys trying to kill the heroine, too much kidnappings, too much of everything instead of the vital things it needed, like seeing the couple fall in love, a little character development, and a little build up of some chemistry. I had intended to read this one during my work breaks for the first part of the week. But after reading before work and at lunch I knew when I got home I would shove aside the book I planned on reading to finish this one.

I found myself laughing so hard when reading. As Lee said, Ally and Indy are like Laurell and Hardy in a slap stick comedy. It seemed if it could go wrong it did. I even laughed at the back and forth with Lee and Indy in their odd mating dance. I liked that they both loved each ...more

I was thoroughly enjoying the Colorado Mountain series when I switched over to the Rock Chick books.

This book reminds me of the Stephanie Plum (Janet Evanovich) and Heller (JD Nixon) series. It is fun and funny, light and airy and there are lots of laughs.

It’s the meeting place extraordinaire that permeates the air with a permanent coffee aroma which entices everyone to stop in and relax in the comfortable couches and chairs that litter the front portion of the store.

Unbelieveably, all it took was for Indy to be shot at, and here comes Lee so mucho and bossy-like. Well, it seems that Indy’s friend and employee, Rosie, received some diamonds that technically he shouldn’t have, and now the “bad” guys are after him. What will happen to Rosie if and when he finds himself in enemy hands? Will Indy find herself on the run too? And, will Lee be her savior from this horror and become the ultimate love of her life?

This novel did not hesitate with its, oftentimes, comedic situations. The laughter and adventure of it all was classic. Loved the characters, both main and supporting! The author frequently featured the support and camraderie between friends, family, and romantic partners alike. The chemistry between the two main characters, Indy and Lee, was intense. He was bossy but protective. And, Indy was used to taking care of herself. So it took Indy some getting used to Lee’s type of explicit protection. The love scenes were so hot - especially when they finally got together after all the times Indy imagined what Lee would look like when she had him naked in her bed. Boy, can Ms. Ashley write a sex scene! It’s something amazingly beautiful and sizzling!!

All I can say is that I’m glad to have found this series of books that has me so extremely hooked! The author does not disappoint when the “Rock Chicks” are immersed in comedy, romance, and adventure. Can’t wait to read the next installment, Rock Chick Rescue!

3.5 Stars but this tilted too YA for me. India was entertaining but not substantial. I am all for witty humor, but big on silly humor which was the majority of one. It was more like continuous blond moment that went on bit too long. Again, it was entertaining but it didn't hit the mark for me. I won't be moving on in this one, but I will be trying another Ashley, because I do so enjoy her men. ...more
