Damn. Just ... damn.

So, I started with the acknowledgments and Andrews says something about Jeaniene Frost (Night Huntress series) beta reading her book and sending out a posse. So, I thought, heh heh, she must hint sex and not go there.

Then some stuff happens and I'm like, "What?! No! You can't kill him!!!"

Sheesh.

I was on the edge of my seat for this entire book. Nearly in tears at some points and laughing out loud at others. And loving the romantic developments as well.

Kate gets involved in

In Magic Strikes, Kate attempts to extricate her friends from a pack-politically charged situation by entering a gladiator style game that has been condemned by the beast-lord Curran. Meanwhile, Curran is making his intentions of wooing her known to everyone, altho only slightly more subtly to her.

Balancing keeping him at bay- on numerous fronts- is proving to be difficult, much more so then getting to the root of the trouble simmering under the surface of the games because it looks like the pe

Wolf Diamond (AKA topaz, the color of a wolf’s eye.)
★★★★★ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Renee Raudman is not a perfect narrator; she sometimes slips on consistency with regards to her voices; rare, but there. My friend thinks she has a bit of a lisp, which I have to forget about or I hear it too. Some could argue that she gets accents wrong...but then, in a futuristic post-magic-technology-competing-apocalyptic world who really knows how the accents would change? All that said,

Now I can totally see why this series is a favourite for so many readers. This instalment was fantastic. I was completely caught up in the story and it really engaged my emotions on so many levels - there were tears, there were smiles, and there were actual laughs. Out loud.

I wasn't overly impressed with the first book in the series, but that has all changed with this one. This is definitely a series that (so far) gets better with each book. It makes me really excited to see where the n

LOVED IT!!!!! I wish I could pick more stars! Dali almost stole the show in this one.
Peep (Pop! Pop!)
So for most of the book I thought it was ok. I kept telling myself that I liked the 2nd book better. The more I read, the more I liked it though. Of course, the ending was great and bumped it up an entire star!

This is the grittiest one so far. It's got some pretty graphic descriptions of violence so be forewarned. This book focuses mainly on the Midnight Games (kind of like gladiators - fight to the death).

I like how Kate refers to Julie as her kid. Julie gets to use her gift in this one, too. I

What an amazing installment! First off, the build up between Kate and Curran is killing me! I know it is going to blow soon, but the wait is killing me! I really enjoyed how well this story progressed and pulled on not-so-mainstream mythologies. There was so much going on, but it all wove together into an heart-stopping ride from page one to the very end!
