What an awesome series! I haven't hit a single annoyance, Kate and her motley band of supernatural and shapeshifting friends just keeps getting better and better, and the Andrews authors just keep the mythological lore coming. From the last book's bloody immersion into Celtic mythology, here we are introduced to characters from the Norse and Hindu pantheons. Kate and Curran's slow seduction dance continues, even as they join forces in death-style combat in the gladiatorial style Midnight Games.

Wow, wow, wow! Now this is what I have been waiting for. This book made dragging through the first two totally worth it. I loved this book. The plot and writing were fantastic.
I like romance in my books. Shocker. And you know an author is good if they manage to hold my attention to the book even though the two people I want together have very few scenes with each other.
But oh the scenes that Kate/Curran did have together. They were so worth it. I lol at the courtship parts. When Raphael was de ...more

This is where the series really takes off. I lost this book on the train. (Library book.) Then I paid for it because I knew I was not gonna get it back, and I absolutely cannot have a blocked library account. Then I requested to borrow the ecopy from my library--and finished it on the beach and used my phone and my kindle to immediately borrow and download #4.
Whew. This one was terrific--action, tragedy, hope, some answers, more mystery.

Book 3 in the Kate Daniels series
4 ½ stars
Another great installment in the series. So great that I have to change the book I was going to read next to Magic Bleeds.
Kate’s ex-sidekick werewolf friend Derek is severally beaten up and deformed. This leads Kate to help Jim, Curran’s head of security, who is going against Pack law to investigate what’s really going on at Midnight Games (a preternatural fight-to-the-death tournament- which of course is illegal). A group of fighters there, the Reapers ...more

Kate kicks ass. EAch book just gets better and better. Wish sometimes that the plot wasn't quite as transparent, but its not stupid which I appreciate.

Oh my gosh, I read this in a day! Each book gets better and better! I'm addicted! I love the growing intimacy between the characters, and it was nice to see Kate finally admit to herself that she has feelings for Curran. I can't wait to see her serve him dinner! Derek made me cry in this one. I love him so much and it was so sad to see him hurt! Starting the next one immediately. I know I will have to wait a while for the next one but I can't help myself!
