4.5 stars! I really really really liked this book. Practically loved it except for the fact that it's still kind of confusing. Almost as if there is a companion book of cliff notes that the author is assuming you've read. It's not as bad as the first book, maybe I'm just getting used to it. Can't wait to read the next one!

I love this series! This book was even better than the first one. I felt like the story got started right away, and I didn't have to worry about all the confusing world building that was in the first. I love Kate and Curran. Again, a great world building, interesting storyline but I just wasn't gripped and pulled in. I'm giving the third book a go after being told to read it and then planning on deciding whether to give up on the series or to keep going.

Loving the tension between Kate and Curran primarily because it is not taking over the whole story, but a nice cherry on top!

Kate Daniels
There wasn't really much plot developement here. I mean as pushing the overall story forward.
I did love the fact that Kate didn't know Curran was courting her. That part was pretty funny. Psyche!
