A much anticipated book, Acheron starts off with a gut-wrenching punch ... and ended on a "awwww isn't that sweet", for me. (Not necessarily a bad thing, but not a great thing considering the character.)
Clocking in at over 700 pages, I'm so glad Kenyon didn't skimp on his story like I hear she did with some of her latest books. (I for one have no problem with large books- it satisfies my soul.)

I have finished this book. I can't say enough about it except the I just loved it!!! It is my favorite book so far. I have never had my emotions so messed up before. Crying one minute laughing the next.The first half of the book tore me up pretty bad! Next half was easier on me. I will read this book again in the not so distant future.

There was a lot of backstory that was hard to get thru (a lot of it I had to skip/skim over due to the abuse of the character). When the H met the h, it seems that he acted out-of-character from being in most of the previous books in this series (not nearly as 'Alpha').

The book we waited years for. I love Acheron of course, I just didn't think that the heroine chosen for him had the same commanding presence that he did. She didn't feel larger than life. But I was glad to finally get to read his story.

Reread. I decided to reread Acheron before Styxx to refresh my memory. Plus love me some Acheron.
