Basically you either love it or hate it. I had started UNHOLY GHOSTS let's see....October and dropped it. All my GR friends love it. I am wanting to know why? because I obviously don't see the appeal. SO this kind of drove me crazy so I decided to finish it because I never made it to the end.
I will say that I am glad that I finished the book this time. But I cannot give this book a high rating because it took me more than halfway through this book to actually understand what the hell was going ...more

Why oh why did I pick this up?!?!
Too freaky for me but I need to know what happens!

I think I would have given it 3.5 stars if I could have. Spoilers ahead... The world Kane has created is different and interesting. The post apocalyptic world of Church dominance is unique and I was very intrigued. Chess was righteous but flawed which is a good combo. The other key players Terrible, Lex and her coworkers were all well developed. However,I really had a hard time with all the drug use. I have no idea how to write this review. The book was a little boring to begin with but got better as you read along. I think i started to like it when Lex came along. I think he is a little dodgy but I guess i'll find out more once i read the other books. The thing that put me off in the book is the street talk. Sometimes i would have to read the sentence twice to understand what the heck i was reading. But i havent given up and will start the next book asap. ...more
