After reading the first book in the Highland Pleasures Series I was extremely excited to start more of these books, but sadly LADY ISABELLA'S SCANDALOUS MARRIAGE was quite dull in comparison to The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie.

The story and the plot isn't so bad, but what really got me was the romance in this book. I felt like this was not the same Isabella from the previous book which was a utter disappointment. Mac and Isabella were separated for three and a half years and they are finally tr ...more

This book is a follow-up to "The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie". That was one of my favorite books - Ashley certainly knows how to write a tortured, sympathetic hero. I was thrilled to find out this was a continuation of the series, this time centering around Ian's brother Mac. Oh, how I loved Mac! Yes, he certainly had a lot he needed to make up for, and did a remarkable job of it. He absolutely made me melt! You SO want these two to get back together; they're perfect for each other.
