We all read book after book after book. Some make us laugh out loud, others have us shedding more than our fair share of tears while still others have us gripping the book with white-knuckled intensity as the suspense builds page by page. But how often do you come across a book that engages all of these emotions and manages to seize your heart as well? This book is a follow-up to "The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie". That was one of my favorite books - Ashley certainly knows how to write a tortured, sympathetic hero. I was thrilled to find out this was a continuation of the series, this time centering around Ian's brother Mac. Oh, how I loved Mac! Yes, he certainly had a lot he needed to make up for, and did a remarkable job of it. He absolutely made me melt! You SO want these two to get back together; they're perfect for each other.
