This was a good book but it was so much like Black Dagger Brotherhood series that I can't really give it more than 3. I really liked the characters but I didn't get a emotionally invested as I do in the BDB books. I will continue with the series though because like I said I enjoy the characters and want to see where they end up.

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed the first book in Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series. Yes, it's about vampires, but Adrian puts some good twists on the mythology and sets up the groundwork for an epic battle between good vampires and vampires gone very, very bad. Well-written with steamy love scenes, a messed-up alpha hero and an enjoyable heroine, and taut action scenes. I plan to read the rest of the series!

well i have another fav series/writer now. i have had the books for awhile. my tbr pile is huge. no kidding. anyways. i love this story. lucan was awesome and so was gabrielle. didnt look like they were gonna be together. but then they were. happiness. so much is happening cant wait to read the rest of this series to see what is happpening next.
