Author Christy Reece's debut novel kept me turning the pages when I ought to have been sleeping. I don't get a lot of time to read, so when I do I feel terribly disappointed if the book isn't enjoyable. I prefer a bit of grit with my romance, and this book delivers that quite well. It involves a topic that's near and dear to my heart — human trafficking.

Wow! This one "had me at hello" if you know what I mean. It was fast paced, featured amazing characters, contained edge of your seat suspense, and the romance was awesome as well. I am very picky about romantic suspense because so few do it well. Pamela Clare and Cindy Gerard are my favorites, but I think I can safely add Christy Reese into that elite group!

First off let me just say that I loved this book. For me, it was one of those few were when I'm not reading it I'm thinking about the characters, whishing that I didn't have to do whatever it was that was keeping me from reading it.lol Jorden is a complete alpha-male, though I wouldn't say quite like Anne Stuarts anti-hero's. He's strong, confident, fighting to put the baddies away, ohh yeah, and sexy as hell.LOL Unfortunatly he's human and thus makes a few mistakes, but he's man enough to admit

This wasn't a bad book, but, after several attempts to get into it, it still hadn't pulled me in. I liked Jordan and I liked Devon, but I couldn't warm up to Eden at all. I can see what made her the way she is, and even admire and respect her, but I couldn't like her. I tend not to enjoy romances in which the heroine is colder and harder than the hero, which Eden definitely is. If the romantic plot had pulled me in, I could probably have continued with the book, but, by about eighty pages in, th

Really liked this book, but can't give it 5*.. too much emotional pain for me, and Jordan p**d me off a little, what with jumping to conclusions, not once, but twice! You'd think that after searching seven years for Devon, he'd at least give her a chance to explain once he finds her!!!

I didn't like the lying that was so prevalent in the book. I don't have an issue with it in moderation, but it was saturating the plot. I also couldn't fully get into the romance because she was yet again, lying to Jordan. While I can understand her reasoning, it still bothered me.

Wow, loved this book from beginning to end and very tempted to go straight into the next book in the series. My first read of this author and it won't be the last till there is nothing else of hers to read. I love an angsty tale!
