I suppose if I'd been feeling in a more charitable mood, I could have finished this. However I got bored of all the 'I hate you because you're a witch'/'But I'm not that kind of a witch' back-and-forth which never seemed to go anywhere or move the plot forward.

OK...I really liked the book. But there was something that freaked me in it. There is a minor character in it, Maddy Winters, who seems, from another characters point of view to be of American Indian descent.
So here's what freaked me... My great grandmother's name is Maddy Winters. She was a full blooded Seneca Iroquois. We don't know what her real name was because in those days you covered that up when you married a white man in the northeast. ...more
