Kiss of Heat was one of Lora Leigh's books that I wasn't extremely hot for, but I did like it enough to reread it which is more than I can say about some of Leigh's other books.

This one is a must read in the feline breed series because it tells Kane and Sherra's story- a couple who show up often in the other books.

What bothered me about the story was the constant hostility of Sherra, the heroine, toward Kane, the hero. I get that she had a tortured past, but I didn't buy the excuse for the const ...more

Sherra and Kane's story has been building over the last few books in this series, so I expecting a lot more out of their story. That, and the fact that I loved the previous book in this series, Elizabeth's Wolf, meant that this one was something of a disappointment.

I was never satisfied with the justification for the behaviour of each of these characters, so I didn't find myself invested in their mating, or the story as a whole. I could sympathise with their history, but not the way they respond ...more

I liked it, but not nearly as much as the previous two. I like the characters very much and Leigh's writing is unique, but this one didn't have the compelling story the previous two had. This was two well designed characters that had a lot of sex and not much of anything really happened. If the next one is like this I may start a new series. ...more
