3.5 stars. This book got a little long in the middle so I took off half a star for that.
I loved Reyes! Jane, are you paying attention here? :) Reyes is a great hero. On the outside he's a cruel, violent, alpha-male assasin. On the inside he's a lost little boy who's never been loved or cared about. yet he manages to blend these two parts of himself perfectly into a terrific, loving man.

I have been wanting to check this book out ever since I found out this is a pen name for Ann Aguirre. While I like this book, her Sirantha Jax series is so much better.
The story line was pretty predictable and I felt the ending was a little rushed, but it was a fun read. What made it so much fin in spite of what I just said was the development of the relationship between Kyra and Reyes. I grabbed this book when I realized that Ava Gray was Ann Aguirre, who's books I love. This book was quick but good and I loved the plight of the anti-hero/anti-heroine.
