Another wonderful instalment in the Breed series, and I don’t know, I am liking them way better now. I find it that the series is starting to shine on its own now. The similarities to other vampire books is becoming less and less, and the action more spine tingling. I am talking hairless brooding vamps, with sex appeal that can warm the coldest winter. Plus the friendships are deeper, and the love oh so much stronger.

This is book six in Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series and I couldn`t put it down. Following events set up in the last book VEIL OF MIDNIGHT this instalment just takes off, with it's exciting and suspense filled storyline. There is plenty of angst filled romance here too and several ongoing subplots and POV's which all manage to come together for one explosive ending. I really liked Andreas in the other stories where he was a featured character. He seemed to have such an easy charm about him without oozing sleaziness and that made him a very likeable character, so I think my expectations were already high for when his story came. Since their was no mention of Claire being the love of his life (unlike Helene) in anything previous, I didn't really feel much of a connection to her initially. I really like the 6th book of the series. Andreas was hot (literally). --Hahaha. I'm laughing at my own joke here.-- His pyrokinetic ability was a pleasant surprise. And the passive dreamwalking Claire was likable enough. However, I found that I like the begining of the book better. It gets boring at times in the middle and ends. But all and all, it's still one of my favorite series.
