What Members Thought

I really do not know how to explain what I thought about this book. The only reason I gave it a 5 star rating is because of Syn. If I had to rate it based on Shahara it would be less than a one star. Not because of the writing but because I totally hated her. In fact, I need to add a book shelf called, suck it bitch, just for her. She has to be one of the worst heroines I have ever read about. First of all she keep making stupid mistakes, had no common sense, had a chip on her shoulder the whole

I really liked this book, was slightly surprised as Syn irritated me in the last book with his woe is me ness about his life. This time around there was a little of that but more of this is what happened to me, I know you can't stand it so lets joke about it before you can leave me or think bad about me for it.
It seemed weird that Shahara had a rough time as well, but did give her the understanding that she needed to with Syn. She just needed to take the time to get to know him and see through t ...more

I enjoyed reading the first League book, Born of Night. I had trouble reading this one. Not because I disliked the hero, I love Sin. He is such a golden retriever being forced to perform like a killer pit bull - but the warm, caring, save-the-world pup is still inside... The heroine on the other hand did all the wrong things for what she thought [and didn't bother to find out differently:] were all the right reasons. Essentially I felt Sin deserved better, MUCH better.

Well, in the beginning I had a great dislike for Shahara but she did redeem herself and well, I was wrong about her as the book continued. She did annoy me, though.
Decent story with a sweet epilogue. I thought the writing was a bit choppy in parts but still an overall entertaining story. I'm not sure why I waited so long to read it after finish Born in Night.

Loved it! Sherrilyn Kenyon tells a meaty story, and then gives everyone a happy ending. Syn has to be one of my favorite heroes of all time. He was so well rounded- assassin, physician, business man etc. Loved him! Although at times his negative self talk got a little old. Shay, as a heroine was pretty good too once I was able to get beyond her judgmental, preachy attitude towards Syn. I think I've definitely become a "Kenyon Minion." I'm off to see what other books I have of hers that I can rea
